What a private label clothing manufacturer actually does

Private label means we manufacture the garment and your brand goes in the neck. You own the label, the fit, the colourway and the customer. We own the pattern room, the cutting table, the sewing lines and the quality checks.

OEM goes one step further back. You bring the design, the tech pack and the spec, and we build exactly to it. If all you have is a reference image and a rough idea of the fit you want, that is fine too. Roughly a third of the brands we work with start with a photo and a sentence.

What is the minimum order for custom clothing?

Twenty five pieces per style and per colourway for cut and sew garments. Most factory websites will tell you they have a low minimum and then make you email to find out what it is. Here is ours, in full, before you talk to anyone.

Minimums are per style and per colourway. Two colours of the same hoodie is 50 pieces, not 25. Knitted products carry a higher minimum because the yarn is dyed to order, which is also why socks sit at 100 pairs while a cut and sew hoodie sits at 25.

Fabric

Say a weight, not a wish

Buyers who tell us "premium and heavyweight" get a different garment from buyers who tell us "420 gsm brushed back french terry, 80 cotton 20 polyester, garment washed". We would rather you were the second kind, so the fabric library is published with weights, compositions, shrinkage and minimum yardage.

Weight Reads as Typical use

340 to 380 gsm Standard retail Most brand hoodies
400 to 450 gsm Heavy, holds shape Boxy fit streetwear

FAQs

Questions we get before the first order

Twenty five pieces per style and per colourway for cut and sew garments such as hoodies, sweatshirts, t-shirts, tracksuits and sublimated uniforms. Caps, beanies and activewear start at 50. Socks start at 100 pairs because the yarn is dyed to order. If you want three colourways of one hoodie, that is 75 pieces total, not 25.

Seven days from approved artwork for most garments, 10 days for jackets, socks and technical activewear. Sampling is charged at cost and credited back against your first bulk order once you place it.

Yes. Send a reference photo, a competitor garment you like, or a description of the fit. Our pattern room builds the tech pack, you approve it, and it becomes yours. About a third of first orders start this way.

Around five weeks for a first order. Quote in 24 hours, sample in 7 days, one revision round of about 5 days, then 15 days of production and 3 to 7 days in transit. Repeat orders skip sampling and run in 15 days.

Yes, door to door. Shipping is quoted with the order, paperwork is prepared on our side, and you choose whether duties are prepaid or billed on arrival. We ship regularly to the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and across the EU and GCC.

Yes. Patterns developed for your brand are yours, we sign an NDA on request before the first file is sent, and we do not resell your styles to another client. The 500 brands we have produced for are the reason we can say that plainly.
